Director
David completed his Bachelor in Engineering at RMIT in 1986, and joined Ove Arup and Partners shortly after, where he worked on a variety of large projects. He spent a year in their London office before returning to Melbourne in the late 1980's. In 1992, he joined Beauchamp Consulting Engineers, working with David Beauchamp. He worked on a wide range of structural projects until purchasing the company in partnership with Joe Spano in 1999 and forming Beauchamp Hogg Spano Consultants (BHS).
David was a Director at BHS Consultants for 18 years, during which time he designed a wide range of residential, institutional, industrial and commercial projects. During his time at BHS, he developed a growing interest in heritage engineering and structural conservation. He opened Quatrefoil Consulting in 2017 with the view to expand his heritage practice, continuing his focus on delivering bespoke and finely detailed structural design solutions and forensic and heritage engineering services.
In 2020, David became an Alternate General Member of the Heritage Council of Victoria. He has participated in various industry workshops such as the Longford Academy in Tasmania. He is currently working on a number of projects, from large State Government infrastructure projects such as the Level Crossing Removal Project, to boutique residential-scale alterations and additions.
